In Halls Gap, the mountains rise with presence and power. You wake to the scent of eucalyptus and the hush of morning light, with trails unfolding from the town centre like open invitations. Venus Baths shimmer nearby, the Pinnacle waits above and some of Victoria's largest waterfalls beckon.
This is the beating heart of Gariwerd – where Kangaroos graze and kookaburras laugh beside cafés, marshmallows glow over wood fires and laughter echoes from Lake Bellfield to Halls Gap Hotel. Trail runners chase horizons, climbers reach for granite skies and families find joy in simple moments.
It is a place where nature meets nurture, art meets nature, where every lookout holds a memory and every local shares a smile. Whether you are here to explore or exhale, you leave with the warmth of shared fires, the thrill of the climb and the quiet knowing that this place will call you back.
You can walk directly from town to Venus Baths, the Pinnacle, Boronia Peak, Clematis Falls, Chatauqua Peak, Wonderland, and Boroka Lookout, sections of the Grampians Peaks Trail, and more. Each offers unique views, rock formations and immersive nature experiences.
