Venus Baths couple

Venus Baths

Distance: 2.3 km circuit

Time: 30 minutes return

Embark on an easy stroll starting from the heart of Halls Gap. Follow the 2.3 km track and cross over Stony Creek at the small bridge to the Botanic Gardens. Take a light picnic and enjoy the peace and quiet in the stunning manicured gardens. Continue to follow the track along the river up to several deeper rock pools. During the warmer months the naturally formed rock pools filled with fresh water make Venus Baths the perfect place to splash around, have some fun and cool off.

This track is flat with no obstacles making it a great easy walk in the Grampians for all ages.

Lake bellfield 2

Lakeview Loop

Distance: 1.8 km circuit

Time: 30 minutes return

From Sundial car park, follow the wide sandy track through high tussock grasses and stone boulders to the Lakeview Lookout. Enjoy uninterrupted views across to the Mt William (Duwul) Range and Lake Bellfield. Return to the carpark by following the loop track to the intersection of the Pinnacle Track. Here, turn left back to the car park. The Lakeview Loop is a spectacular walk for viewing dazzling wildflower displays during spring.

Gulgurn Manja Rockart

Gulgurn Manja Shelter

Distance: 1 km return

Time: 20 minutes

The Gulgurn Manja Shelter is one of many ancient Aboriginal rock art sites in the Grampians, accessible via an easy 1 km return walk through lush native forests and surrounding rocky cliffs. Informative signs at the site share incredible stories of our first people.

Pronounced Gulkurn Munya (Hands of young People), this site features handprints of many generations of young people, about 8 to 12 years old

Reeds Lookout sunset

The Balconies and Reed Lookout

Distance: 2km return

Time: 30 minutes return

Start your short walk with an unforgettable view from Reed Lookout. Enjoy stunning scenes of the entire Victoria Valley, Victoria Range, Serra Range, Lake Wartook and the Mt Difficult (Gar) Range.

From Reed Lookout carpark walk the relatively easy 2 km to The Balconies for panoramic views of Victoria Valley and the surrounding ranges. On your way you will pass through forest terrain and witness breathtaking Lake Wartook.

The unusual rock formations jutting out from the mountain make this spot particularly unique. The Balconies are a great spot for sunrise and sunset views.

Horsham 60

Horsham to Wimmera River

Distance: 2.2 km return

Time: 40 minute return

This easy walk starts at the Horsham Post Office in the town centre. From here the walk is a straight 2.2 km return along Firebrace Street. Along the way spot boutique and artisanal shops along with some surprise attractions and places of interest. At the end of your stroll sit down and enjoy the peaceful still river waters, or if you’re feeling adventurous, continue walking along the Wimmera River on the 3.4 km loop track.

Grampians Gardens Grandeur Dunkeld Arboretum 2

Dunkeld Aboretum

Time: 30 minutes return

The Dunkeld Arboretum offers a sanctuary of walking tracks, featuring giant red gums, pristine lakes, native birdlife and even a labyrinth. Embark an easy walk around the Arboretum tracks with views over the lake to Mount Sturgeon (Wurgarri).

Make it memorable with takeaway coffee and baked goods from nearby Dunkeld Old Bakery or Izzy’s Café. Relax and unwind with the family with a delightful picnic and reconnect with nature.

Langhi Giran State Park

La-Ne-Jeering Walk, Langi Ghiran State Park

Distance: 1.8 km length

Time: 30 minutes

Langhi Ghiran State Park offers a network of tracks & trails ranging from full day hikes to short casual walks. The La-Ne-Jeering walk presents a gentle track to a sacred art site significant to Djab Wurrang People. Take some time to contemplate the spiritual significance of Lar-Ne-Jeering (Djab Wurrung language for what is now called Langi Ghiran) with its mountain peaks and rich forests overlooking the surrounding fertile plains.
