Lake Hamilton is located at the eastern end of Hamilton and is surrounded by 25 hectares of parkland. The Lakes Edge Adventure Playground, Hamilton Skate Park and the Dog Park are one of several opportunities for families to enjoy the outdoor surrounds of the lake.

Visitors can also participate in the Hamilton Park Run, which is a weekly 5km run around the lake free for anyone to participate. Activities on the lake include fishing, waterskiing, sailing, rowing, windsurfing, canoeing and swimming.

Important Note: While your pets are welcome at the listed operators, they are not permitted in National or State Park areas in Victoria. This means that while you explore the Grampians National Park, your furry friends will need a loving kennel. Fortunately, there are several kennel operators in the region who will be more than happy to take care of Fido while you enjoy some fresh air.
