Teams take turns driving custom-built or hire-ready pedal cars in a timed endurance challenge on a closed street circuit near the town centre and lagoon.
Across the day, the precinct comes alive with trackside commentary, music and plenty of friendly rivalry as crews rotate drivers, manage pit stops and keep the pace steady to the finish. Spectators can line the barriers, cheer on their favourite teams and soak up the festival feel with food and drink from local vendors. Kids will love the colour and noise of the pit lane, while handy tinkerers can admire the ingenuity that goes into each pedal-powered machine.
Whether you're on the tools helping a team, in the seat pushing for another lap, or simply there to enjoy the atmosphere, it's a welcoming community event with prizes, entertainment and lots to see between laps. Pedal cars can be built by participants or hired from the organising committee, making it easy to get involved.
