Mereweather Estate Cottage is a private two-bedroom cottage for up to four guests, set on twenty acres at the foot of Mount Sturgeon in Dunkeld, at the southern end of the Grampians.
Every window faces the mountain, with uninterrupted views from the main bedroom and the private deck.
The cottage has a wood fire with firewood supplied, reverse-cycle heating and cooling in every room, a full kitchen with dishwasher, a washer and dryer, fast wireless internet and undercover parking at the door. Linen and towels are provided.
Dunkeld and the Royal Mail Hotel are a ten-minute walk away. The Mount Sturgeon and Mount Abrupt walks and the southern trailhead of the Grampians Peaks Trail are close by, and Hamilton is half an hour by car.
The Mereweather family took up this land in the 1850s and their descendants run the cottage today. The cottage is adults only, with a two night minimum stay.
