Kaniva is the western gateway to the Wimmera Mallee Silo Art Trail.

The artwork pays tribute to the nearby Little Desert and its diverse flora and fauna.Painted in October 2020 by mural artist David Lee Pereira, with fellow artist Jason Parker, the artwork transforms the 29.6-metre-high GrainCorp silos, originally constructed in 1939.

The silos are best viewed from Band Park on Progress Street, a popular picnic area featuring a children's playground and the town's war memorial. From Band Park, visitors can follow the Sheep Art Trail through the main street or continue to the Kaniva Wetlands and Fauna Park.

Caravan parking is available at Band Park, with the town centre just a two-minute walk away, offering cafés, accommodation and other visitor services.
