Step back 100 years and meet the makers of the past at the Museum's October Rally.
Curious about how people lived and worked a century ago? Spend a weekend with 19th-century artisans as they bring forgotten skills to life. Watch blacksmiths at the forge, wool spinners at the wheel, leatherworkers at the bench and traditional woodworkers at the lathe. Stroll the recreated period streetscape, delve into the display sheds and get close to working machinery of everyday life - vintage printing presses, horse-drawn vehicles and rustic farming gear.
Program highlights include live heritage crafts and working displays all day, daily grand parade at 2pm, model railways and vintage vehicles and food served all day from the Museum kitchen with a relaxed dining space.
A hands-on, family-friendly weekend celebrating real skills, real stories and the tools that built the rural communities.
