A local treasure for over 60 years, Hamilton Gallery presents a range of exhibitions, programs and events that stimulate understanding, awareness and enjoyment of the visual arts.

Celebrated for its exceptional breadth and quality, the gallery's collection includes works by some of the greatest European, Asian and Australian masters.

Silver, porcelain and glass from the beginning of the 18th century onward, Asian ceramics from the major dynasties, European and Australian prints, 18th-century landscapes, Australian oil paintings and watercolours and fine international and Australian examples of 20th-century decorative arts combine to form a collection of almost ten thousand objects.

Hamilton Gallery is also the caretaker of the largest collection of Gunditjmara objects held on country, acknowledging and celebrating the history and traditions of the continuous culture of First Nations people in the area.

The gallery plays host to acclaimed touring exhibitions and installations and runs a wide range of engagement activities, including school programs, hands-on and virtual workshops, and special events throughout the year.

Hamilton Gallery sits on Gunditjmara Country, in the heart of the Southern Grampians in Western Victoria. The gallery is accessible, family-friendly and welcomes all ages, genders and abilities.
