Bunjil’s View Presented by Goolum Goolum
Bunjil's View is the culmination of three years of community-led cultural projects developed by Goolum Goolum.
In 2024, the inaugural Bunjil's View, a short-form video featuring participants from our local region, was presented in the Gallery as part of the annual NAIDOC exhibition. Buoyed by the cultural pride and positive reception of the work, in 2025, a second iteration of the video project was developed and presented in the same fashion. Now in 2026, a third work in the series is unveiled, with all three short-form videos taking centre stage. Collectively, these works form a visually powerful testament to community‑led artistic production, developed on Country here in the Wimmera.
Goolum Goolum is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation established in 1979, which today is dedicated to fostering cultural pride, delivering essential health, family and cultural services. For seven years, Horsham Town Hall and Goolum Goolum have worked collaboratively on annual celebratory exhibitions which feature diverse Aboriginal artists from across the region. In 2026, they are excited to expand this partnership across Horsham Town Hall, including the foyer space, Heritage Hall, Community Gallery and the Horsham Regional Art Gallery exhibition space.
