Located in Laharum, Rosehaven Farms gives visitors an insight into ‘farm life’ through sensory animal experiences. After petting donkeys and feeding alpacas, drop into the store to shop their range of local, handmade products. Owners Pam and David make everything on the farm, including soaps, lotions, beeswax wraps and their famous honey.
The pure, Australian honey is sourced from their 100 beehives and carries distinct flavours and aromas of the Grampians region.
Also located in Laharum is Grampians Olive Co, one of Australia’s oldest olive groves, established back in 1943. It’s family-owned and operated with all olive oil grown, pressed and bottled on site.
Stop by and indulge in a platter featuring a range of estate-produced olive oils, table olives, vinegars, dukkah and honey. Soak in the stunning views and surrounding olive trees – there’s over 20,000 of them! Don’t leave without taking home some of their freshly pressed, Australian made and certified organic extra virgin olive oil and perhaps your own Dukkah to recreate their impressive platters!
As you continue exploring Pomonal, make sure you stop in at the Grampians Store. A great spot to stretch the legs on your journey and pick up some local produce including delicious Five Ducks Farm jams and preserves. Let the friendly staff help you pick out the best crafts of the region while you relax with a coffee and a selection of handmade cakes.
A one-stop-shop for local produce and great coffee is the Grampians Providore in Dunkeld. The store offers a range of gourmet delights from local producers, including deli meats, cheeses and artisan breads – perfect for snacking on your journey or cooking up a delicious meal back at your accommodation.
You cannot leave the Grampians region without tasting the award-winning wines. Home to small batch and boutique wineries through to the most established and celebrated, there’s a style and varietal to please the most discerning palate.
Farmers Markets
Farmers markets provide the perfect opportunity to meet the local farmers, wine makers, bakers, cheesemakers and charcutiers of the region.
Visit the Natimuk Farmers Market Plus on a brisk Sunday morning. Visitors can enjoy shopping local and regional produce, discover quality local arts and crafts, source organic vegetables and jams, listen to live music plus more.
If you’re heading to the Southern Grampians region, stop by the Hamilton HIRL Farmers and Craft Market. Here you can explore local produce and designers across 11 acres of beautiful land at the Hamilton Institute of Rural Learning.
In the popular town of Halls Gap, the Halls Gap Primary School hosts the Halls Gap Market. The outdoor market brings together homegrown and homemade produce, with over 70 stalls setting up in the grounds of the school.
Over in Stawell, the Stawell Show Market takes place on the first Sunday of the month. It supports and promotes the region’s local producers, creators and small businesses. Browse the range of quality goods as you sip on your morning coffee. All money raised from stallholder fees, the barbecue and canteen goes towards the Annual Stawell Show.
