A visit to Pomonal Estate is an invitation to embrace the flavours of the region. The cellar door is entering an exciting new chapter as owners, Pep and Adam, continue to shape a place where quality, creativity and regional character come together. It is their passion for wine that has guided Pomonal Estate from the very beginning.
Pomonal Estate wines reflect the essence of the Grampians. Crafted from carefully selected fruit, they showcase the elegance, balance and cool‑climate qualities that make this area so distinctive. From refined Rieslings and expressive Shiraz to Rosé, Sparkling Riesling and Fortified Shiraz, each bottle tells a story of the land, the seasons and the people who have contributed along the way.
The Grampians is a renowned wine region celebrated for its cool‑to‑warm climate, loamy soils and exceptional varieties, particularly Shiraz and Riesling. Pomonal Estate is proud to contribute to this rich winemaking heritage and share wines that represent the region with authenticity and care.
Alongside exceptional wines, Adam brews handcrafted beers onsite at Pomonal Estate. His passion for brewing shines through in beers that complement the relaxed country atmosphere and the experiences shared with guests. These beers are also showcased at Iris by Block & Cleaver allowing visitors to enjoy locally crafted beverages alongside an elevated dining experience.
On the 19th of May 2026, Iris by Block and Cleaver opened its doors at Pomonal Estate, a collaboration between Dean Sibthorp and Pomonal Estate owners Adam and Pepita Atchison.
Named after Dean's grandmother, Iris brings together a regional fine dining experience with the land, wine and hospitality that Adam and Pepita have built at Pomonal Estate. Every plate is designed to tell that story.
Since launch, the focus has been on dialling in the product, what Iris means both personally, as a tribute to Dean's nan, and locationally, as a genuine partnership with Pomonal Estate. The shift has also let Adam and Pepita step back from day-to-day operations to focus on what they do best. Adam is back to brewing, and Pep is running more social media campaigns, while both continue to support Iris every step of the way.
Iris keeps priority on selling Pomonal Estate wines, promoting them to guests and sharing more about their range and varietals. And this September, Pomonal Estate is opening a brand-new cellar door on site.
This is more than a restaurant on a vineyard. It's a genuine, ongoing collaboration and we're just getting started.
