17 Oct 2022

If you’re seeking freedom, space and adventure this sunny season start planning your next getaway in the Grampians. With ample swimming spots, waterfalls, hiking trails, wineries, wildlife and delicious food to discover, the region is the perfect destination for making this season an unforgettable one.

Between adventuring and sight-seeing, find your space and rejuvenate at Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park or Grampians Getaway.

Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park

Located beside the beautiful Lake Bellfield, Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park is perfect for families who enjoy the great outdoors. Here, you and your family can experience genuine bush-camping with modern amenities and facilities.

The park hosts a range of accommodation options, from ‘retro glampers’ to modern cabins overlooking the valley and paddocks. Rest your head surrounded by nature, wide open spaces, wandering emus, grazing kangaroos and an array of bird life.

Spend those sunny afternoons relaxing in the on-site heated pool, watching the kids play in the playground or kayaking across Lake Bellfield. Campfires can also be delivered to your site upon arrival so after watching the kangaroos graze at sunset you can ease into the evening with a glass of local Shiraz (and toasted marshmallows for the kids).

While it can be tough to lure the kids away from the delights of the camp ground, make sure you check out nearby waterfalls, lakes and some of the country’s oldest Aboriginal rock art.

Grampians Getaway

Nestled at the base of the Grampians amid native gardens is Grampians Getaway. This unique property comprises of six free-standing pyramids. Located just 5km from Halls Gap, each self-contained pyramid has been architecturally designed to offer guests a luxurious and private escape.

Enjoy these spacious three-bedroom units, each with a spiral staircase leading to a loft bedroom. The pyramids are positioned around a beautiful onsite lake, each with its own BBQ in the pergola.

Enjoy the serene views and relax with a glass of wine and platter (we recommend stocking up at Grampians Olive Co) or explore the area and nearby bike paths. No need to leave the dog at home either– Grampians Getaway allows certain breeds onsite (please confirm with them prior to your stay).

A stay with Grampians Getaway also grants guests access to relax in the outdoor heated pools at Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park. Just mention to reception that you are staying with Grampians Getaway and they’ll assist you.

If you’re looking for more activities in the area, why not meet “the locals” at Halls Gap Zoo, experience rock-climbing escapades with Absolute Outdoors and enjoy world-class Adventure Golf.
