Producing quality wine since the 1860s, the Grampians region has an impressive mix of established and boutique wineries surrounding the towns of Great Western, Ararat, Buangor, Moyston and Halls Gap.

From famous sparkling wines and light bodied whites to the region’s signature Shiraz, our award-winning wines are nothing short of spectacular.

This summer, take the time to taste, discover and delight in the Grampians wine region.

Latest news just in from our wineries

  • Miners Ridge has just released some stellar drops. When visiting the cellar door, take part in a wine tasting and Vineyard Walk and Talk. With a range of accommodation offerings, take the opportunity to settle in for an overnight stay.
  • ATR Wines has just released a new menu to match their new cellar door. Think grazing platters featuring seasonal Victorian artisanal produce paired with amazing wines.
  • SubRosa is excited to share their new release Grampians Viognier, Pyrenees Nebbiolo and Grampians Shiraz. They have also curated gift packs for Christmas.
  • Mountainside Wines has created a Summer Sangria Kit and Summer Spritzer Kit which includes everything you need to make your own Sangria or Red Wine Spritzer to enjoy on a warm summer day.
  • Mount Stapylton Wines has just released a special Mount Stapylton Grampians Peaks Shiraz to celebrate the opening of Grampians Peaks Trail. Purchase online and look out for their upcoming cellar door pop ups around the region.
  • Pomonal Estate is open and ready for you to enjoy a selection of wines, handcrafted ciders and beer, with a stunning backdrop of the Grampians National Park. Stay at the onsite accommodation, Mt Cassel Villa, for a memorable experience among the Grampians vines.

Winery events

  • Best’s is bringing back Museum Wine Night with a slightly new format where you’ll be able to sample three wines before deciding on a favourite and settling in with a glass. Enjoy platters of local produce and live music on Saturday, 15 January 2022. More information is available here
  • Mount Langi Ghiran has just announced its Langi Sunday Lunch Series running each Sunday from 28 November until 19 December. Enjoy estate grown lamb, cool climate wines, live music and more. For more events and experiences at Mount Langi Ghiran, see their website.
  • Grampians Estate is hosting a series of live music performances at their cellar door. Visit on Saturday, 20 November and Saturday, 4 December from 3pm - 8pm for wine and entertainment. These events are free but bookings are essential.

Grampians Wine Breakout

A new event has arrived – Grampians Wine Breakout. This free event will be held at Seppelt Wine Lawns on Saturday, 11 December 2021 from noon - 5pm. It’s a wonderful opportunity to sample the region’s finest wines alongside live music, food trucks and more. Local wineries offer wine tastings and sales by the glass, bottle or case. Some special newly released wines will also be available for tasting. Book your shuttle bus to make the most of your afternoon. These buses are available from Halls Gap, Stawell and Ballarat, book here.
