Sip and savour the stunning views and delicious local food and wine at Fallen Giants Vineyard. Located just outside of Halls Gap, sit on the deck and enjoy the spectacular Grampians mountain range. With wide-open spaces and a playground onsite, the kids will keep themselves entertained for ages. Better yet, settle in for the day and take advantage of their BBQ facilities. Invite your friends, bring your meat, buy some wine and feel free to feel free.
Relax and rejuvenate after a long day of exploring at Pomonal Estate. With picturesque scenes of the Grampians, plenty of outdoor seating and games for the kids to play, this is a great spot to enjoy local beer, cider, wine and produce. There are even special menu items for the kiddies. These include a fresh fruit and veg board, cheese and fruit board and everyone’s favourite – fish and chips.

Mount Langi Ghiran’s Picnic Idyll experience makes for a fabulous family affair. Bring along your own picnic feast, practice your bocce game and ride one of the bikes between the glorious vines. Kids can wander the outdoor spaces while the parents learn more about Langi with a self-guided map. For only $10 per person this experience is a great one for groups of families. It includes premium picnic glassware, picnic blanket and accessories, bikes, bocce and access to secluded areas of the vineyard.
Hit the open road and take a family day trip to Barangaroo Wines. You’ll find them just outside of the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park, only 10 minutes away from Horsham - a lively country town with shops, cafes, the Wimmera River, walking and cycling paths, playgrounds and more. The winery is home to vast vineyards and open spaces, perfect for the kids to explore and play. On selected weekends the wineries Vineyard Green provides a perfect family-friendly atmosphere with live music and share platters to enjoy on the lawn.
Pierrepoint Wines Cellar Door is located at the foothills of Mount Pierrepoint between Hamilton and Tarrington. There’s a wonderful family atmosphere with outdoor tables dotting the lawns and plenty of space to dine inside too. Make a day of it and head into Hamilton township for some family friendly activities including visiting the Hamilton Gallery, Lake Hamilton and nearby waterfalls.
