Distance: 2.3km circuit

Time: 30 minutes return

Embark on an easy stroll from the heart of Halls Gap. Follow the 2.3km track, crossing Stony Creek via a small bridge leading to the Botanic Gardens. Pack a light picnic to enjoy amidst the stunning manicured gardens, before continuing along the river up to several deeper rock pools, perfect for cooling off during the warmer months. The track to Venus Baths is flat with no obstacles, making it a great easy walk in the Grampians for all ages. After your day in nature, indulge in magnificent views and a delicious meal at Halls Gap Hotel. Lakeview Loop

Distance: 1.8km circuit

Time: 30 minutes return

Starting from the Sundial car park, follow the wide sandy track through high tussock grasses and stone boulders toward the Lakeview Lookout. Enjoy uninterrupted views across to the Mt William (Duwil) Range and Lake Bellfield. Return to the car park via the loop track, a spectacular route for witnessing dazzling wildflower displays in spring. Upon your return, retreat to your accommodation at the tranquil haven of Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park. While in the area, don't miss the chance to visit Halls Gap Zoo for a family-friendly day out.

Gulgurn Manja

Gulgurn Manja Shelter

Distance: 1km return

Time: 20 minutes

This easy 1 km return walk through lush native forests leads to the ancient Aboriginal rock art site, Gulgurn Manja Shelter, meaning ‘Hands of Young People’. Discover stories of the area's first nation people through informative signs at the site, featuring handprints of generations of young people aged 8-12. The shelter is of cultural significance, offering insights into ancient traditions and artistic expressions, featuring a unique and local style of art that was used to pass on the law of the people.

The Grampians Victoria Balconies

The Balconies Lookout & Reed Lookout

Distance: 2km return

Time: 30 minutes return

Start your short walk with an unforgettable view from Reed Lookout. Enjoy stunning scenes of the entire Victoria Valley, Victoria Range, Serra Range, Lake Wartook and the Mt Difficult (Duwil) Range - without the difficulty! From Reed Lookout carpark, walk the relatively easy 2 km to the Balconies for panoramic views of Victoria Valley and the surrounding ranges. On your way you will pass through forest terrain and witness breathtaking Lake Wartook.

The unusual rock formations jutting out from the mountain make this spot particularly unique. The Balconies are a great spot for sunrise and sunset views.

Wimmera River Horsham walk

Horsham to Wimmera River

Distance: 2.2 km return

Time: 40 minute return

Embark on this easy 2.2 km walk starting from the Horsham Post Office, leading along Firebrace Street. Discover boutique artisanal shops and attractions along the way. At the end of your stroll sit down and enjoy the peaceful river waters, or if you’re feeling adventurous, continue walking along the Wimmera River on the 3.4 km loop track. Mt langi

La-Ne-Jeering Walk, Langi Ghiran State Park

Langi Ghiran State Park offers a network of tracks & trails ranging from full day hikes to short casual walks. The La-Ne-Jeering walk presents a gentle track to a sacred art site significant to the Djab Wurrang People. Take some time to contemplate the spiritual significance of Lar-Ne-Jeering (Djab Wurrung language for what is now called Langi Ghiran) with its mountain peaks and rich forests overlooking the surrounding fertile plains. Spend the rest of your day at Mount Langi Ghiran, one of Victoria’s most picturesque vineyards. To really enjoy this stunning winery, relax with a bottle of wine and a grazing platter that's carefully curated to complement your wine selection.
