A summer of live music The Grampians Way

18 Dec 2019 by Amanda Cochran

Carus Thompson at the Halls Gap Hotel - 10 January 2020

Globetrotting troubadour Carus Thompson has toured the world alongside The John Butler Trio, The Waifs, Xavier Rudd, Jack Johnson & Pete Murray, selling over 30,000 albums along the way.

He returns with his seventh studio album Shakespeare Avenue.

Thompson is one of Australia’s hardest working musicians, touring the world as an independent artist with family in tow, whilst building a loyal fan base over six studio and two live albums. And with 2017’s Island, the critical plaudits flowed – a WAM Song of the Year, a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, and high rotation on Double J.

A renowned live performer, Thompson will deliver these new songs as well as old over a special two-set show, all with the energy and passion that has made him one of Australia’s favourite acoustic artists.

He launches the album around Australia through October / November before taking these new songs to Europe & the UK in 2020.

Catch him at the Halls Gap Hotel next month!
