A Grampians Wine Tasting Masterclass At Home

The Grampians, known for its warm days and cool nights, has been the perfect place for the wide variety of grapes grown in the area to thrive since planting began at St Peter's Vineyard in 1863. But if there is one variety that the region is known for, it is its distinctive Shiraz.

Join Sommelier James Boden from the National Wine Centre, Grampians Winemakers and recognised faces from the award-winning wine region who will take you on a Seriously Shiraz-filled experience, tasting wine delivered to your door.
Shiraz lovers will marvel at the cool-climate treasures that can be sampled in a choice of three virtual masterclasses and the opportunity to head online to purchase their favourites of the evening.

IN THE CELLAR Masterclass

29th October, 7.30 - 9pm
Grampians Shiraz is well known for its cellaring ability. Participants will enjoy and learn about how this varietal evolves as it ages in the cellar.
Connoisseurs and collectors will also appreciate the chance to taste and purchase the Grampians Winemakers 2018 Reserve Shiraz Barrique, a collaboration wine only ever available at the iconic Grampians Grape Escape festival.

GREAT WESTERN Masterclass

30th October, 5.30 - 7pm
Stories of pioneers and family traditions will transport you to the enchanting wine village of Great Western.
This masterclass is not only about stepping back to the gold rush days, as participants will hear from seasoned experts and new winemakers in the region, who have all been busy experimenting with techniques and pushing boundaries, making a little history of their own.

VINTAGE 2017 Masterclass
29th October, 7.30 - 9pm
2017 was such a fine vintage in the Grampians region that many a bottle received accolades in the coveted Halliday Wine Companion Awards including Clarnette & Ludvigsen, SubRosa and Fallen Giants, all on offer in this tasting.
Relish in the opportunity to hear directly from the winemaker on how vineyard location and winemaking techniques can affect the finished product whilst you experience Grampians Shiraz from 2017 produced by six different wineries.
