Contact Wongaburra
The property is primarily a horsemanship centre for students to bring their horses for ‘education vacations’, but it also has two accommodation spaces available through AirBnB as well as four campsites.
Chris and Justin offer ‘Horse Experiences’ to the guests as an additional option which gives them the opportunity to interact on the ground with their personally trained horses, learn about horse psychology and behaviour and how to see life from the horses perspective.
Wongaburra is set amongst redgum woodlands and with views of the mountain range to the east. Two thirds of the property has been put under permanent preservation covenant with Land for Nature, and is home to eastern and western kangaroos, red-necked wallabies, emus, lizards of several kinds and many varieties of native birds included wedge-tailed eagles. The oldest redgum trees range from 200-400 years old, and a walk amongst the ‘elders’ is a must for visitors.
