The Horsham Art Gallery’s ground floor will transform into The Studio. Using artworks from the Collection, the galleries will become places of reflection, inspiration, and action. We will celebrate the making process with a series of artist lead workshops in watercolour, pastel, drawing; life and still. Explore pattern and form through jewellery making and basic printmaking. Movement, meditation and long looking will take centre stage.
A space of action, practice and reflection, an artist’s studio can take many forms, and be found in many spaces. From hard won space at the kitchen table for bursts of creativity to a room of one’s own which houses the tools of your trade, objects of inspiration, and ambitious dreams. For some the studio is a solo escape, for others it only comes alive when shared with collaborators, subjects, or their peers sharing the space and the creative process.
These workshops are aimed to be social, enjoy a glass of wine, a cup of tea, or a larger as you and your friends learn new skills. Workshops will occur morning, afternoon and evening; to view the whole program and to book a place visit our website.
