Katy Mitchell Ceramics

Katy Mitchell is an artist and ceramicist with a practice founded in contemporary, handmade tableware. Ten years on from starting out as a ceramic artist, she currently lives and works out of Halls Gap, Victoria after being raised on the Isle of Man in the British Isles.

Katy’s hand-thrown ceramics feature intricate, vibrant designs inspired by the flora and fauna of the Grampians, the landscapes of her own heritage and of daydreams, which are applied by hand using a mix of techniques in multiple layers.

Pieces are available to purchase through Livefast Cafe, or via Katy’s online shop. She also runs a subscription service through Patreon to invest in experimental projects.
