Experience Horsham's striking surrounds, immortalised by painters Arthur Boyd and Sidney Nolan. Known as the Capital of the Wimmera and boasting a relaxed, country atmosphere, Horsham is located close to many natural sights and attractions.

Wander the banks of the Wimmera River and the surrounding landscape, which inspired artists Arthur Boyd and Sidney Nolan and still provide inspiration to a dynamic arts community. Artistic and cultural treasures abound at the renowned Horsham Regional Art Gallery, while the Wool Factory produces some of the finest wool in Australia.

With a host of things to do in and around the town, Horsham is also an excellent base for exploring the surrounding natural attractions. Send a few quiet hours in the William Guilfoyle-designed botanic gardens on the banks of the Wimmera River, or head off to Mt Arapiles-Tooan State Park, Little Desert National Park or the northern Grampians. Be inspired by the rock climbers as they test their skills on the daunting Mt Arapiles and capture the sunsets over flat plains of the Wimmera.

Set off on a bushwalking excursion at Grampians National Park or Wartook Valley region, both a mere 30 minutes south east of Horsham. Head north towards the scenic town of Natimuk and discover the nature trails at Little Desert National Park.

With a packed calendar of events, there's always something going on around town. Visit for the Horsham Golf Club Annual Tournament, the Horsham Country Music Festival, the Spring Garden Festival or the Art Is… Festival, an event celebrating community arts. For a dose of adrenaline-charged fun, grab your gloves and gear up for the Australian and World Junior Motocross Championships.
