Start your tour from Horsham or if staying at Halls Gap, proceed to Stawell and follow the Western Highway to Dadswells Bridge.
A fascinating side trip into Wartook Valley, Mackenzie Falls, and several lookouts is available. The region’s national parks are home to more than 200 species of birds and several species of kangaroo and wallaby.
Tread softly in the Little Desert National Park and you might even catch a glimpse of the remarkable Mallee Fowl.
