Australian Chamber Choir: Dunkeld Concert Series

Dunkeld is delighted to host three Australian Chamber Choir concerts in 2023, commencing with 'Magic, Miracles and Mysteries'.

John Wilbye’s 'There is a Jewel' refers to a magic that “makes water wine, turns wooden cups to gold”. Orlando di Lasso’s 'Nuptiae Factae Sunt' tells the story of Jesus turning the water into wine at a marriage feast. What better accompaniment to this concert program than fine wine and food in one or both of the Royal Mail's fabulous restaurants? To mark the 400th anniversary of William Byrd’s death, the concert program concludes with his settings of texts on the magical power of music.
