Wine & Symphony - The Perfect Way to Spend the Long Weekend, the Grampians Way!

4 Mar 2020 by Dana Thomson

There’s nothing better than reconnecting with nature and spending time with those important to you - ‘the Grampians Way’.

Picture yourself on the road, driving up to Mount Langi Ghiran vineyard, amongst the rocky ridge tops and beautiful grass surround, soon to be enjoying a variety of elegant and refined reds - Are you with us?

Join us over the Labour Day Long Weekend on Sunday 8th March for Wine & Symphony. Enjoy an afternoon of wine, cheese and live music set amongst the spectacular Mount Langi Ghiran vineyard, overlooking views of the Great Dividing Range.
Wine & Symphony is held at the most exciting time of the year in the vineyard: harvest! The warmer days and cooler nights allow the wealth of grape varieties to finish ripening, perfect for harvesting (and even better for tasting). Take a casual wander through the enchanting bushland, where you may even find yourself some new feathered friends! Get ready to immerse yourself in the buzz of 2020 vintage with a Vineyard and Winery Tour at 2pm, where you can step away from reality and settle in with a fine glass of Shiraz and more.

Whether you’re planning a romantic couple’s weekend away or looking for a chance to spend some quality time with your favourites you’ll be wondering, “Why didn’t I visit this place sooner?”.

Along with breathtaking views and delectable wine and nibbles, enjoy a unique “Diffusion” performance by Melbourne’s own Shaun Keyt in the afternoon. This captivating experience is a 45-minute visceral journey of electronic-ambient music performed using several instruments, creating a beat that will just make you want to get up and have a boogie. The piece will be enhanced by Sarah Curro’s ground-breaking semi-acoustic violin for a genre-defying experience you certainly won’t forget. Sarah is no stranger to Mount Langi Ghiran, having performed classical pieces at the property before and we’re excited to present the added dimension to the performance in this year.

We’re pleased to share that this will be the 5th year Mount Langi Ghiran brings live music to the vineyard, and the third edition of Wine & Symphony – it’s only getting better! There’s an incredible uniqueness in the experience of a musical performance paired with cool climate wines, whilst enjoying the incredible scenery and view of Mount Langi Ghiran and Mount Cole. We truly believe that there’s nothing like disconnecting from the hustle and bustle, and reconnecting with yourself, close friends, and most importantly, nature.

Can’t seem to get enough? Why not complete your weekend getaway with a stay at Acacia Caravan Park, Pyrenees Caravan Park, or camp amongst the picturesque mountain ranges a little bit further out in the heart of Green Hill Lake. Explore more of the regions sweeping landscapes and natural beauty including Mount Cole and Mount Langi Ghiran State Park. You may even like to delve into a richer era and discover Ararat’s place in the Victorian gold rush, at Gum San Chinese Heritage Centre.
