After a two-year hiatus, the Grampians Grape Escape is back from Friday 29 April to Sunday 1 May! The festival is one of the longest-running food and wine festivals, bringing together the region’s best winemakers, breweries, producers and performers against the stunning backdrop of the Grampians.

With some accommodation still available at Lake Fyans Holiday Park and Grampians Edge Caravan Park, Grampians Grape Escape is the perfect weekend to bring your friends and family to the Grampians to experience the amazing things on offer.

Feel Good Friday - The ultimate Fri-yay evening, Feel Good Friday brings together 80s cover bands, MixTape, and Andrew De Silva’s Prince Tribute Band, Purple Revolution, for this inaugural Grampians Grape Escape event to aid the festival in its post-COVID recovery. The event takes place on Friday 29 April at Halls Gap Recreation Reserve, tickets are $44pp and $5 for kids aged 5-17.

Little Adventurer’s Precinct - On Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May, little adventurers can enjoy a section of the festival just for them. The precinct is complete with plant seedlings, circus performances, rock climbing, bubble workshops, Halls Gap marquee colouring, Grape Stomping with Grampians Wine Tours and much more!
Geoff Jansz + James Mele Cooking Demonstration - Sri Lankan born chef and TV presenter, Geoff Jansz, will team up with James Mele from The Meat Room to share their tips and tricks. Using fresh produce from the region, foodies will learn how to perfect homemade salami and Geoff’s signature pickles.

Bees, Good Bugs & Insect Hotels Masterclass - On Sunday 1 May, author and radio presenter Denis Crawford, chats about all things bees, good bugs and insect hotels. The masterclass will teach viewers what you should plant to attract pollinators to your garden, why bees are so vital to our ecosystem, and how to build an insect hotel.

Cook, Line & Sinker Masterclass – Jason Meehan shares everything you need to know about fishing in the Grampians, including the best spots to throw in a line and what gear you’ll need. Jason will be joined by international acclaimed seafood chef, Peter Hilcke, to share his favourite recipe for a regional catch.

Grampians Grape Stomp – If you have ever wanted to try the age-old tradition of grape stomping, here is your chance! On Sunday 1 may enjoy the messy (but equally fun) annual Grape Stomp competition by Grampians Wine Tours. Hop on into the barrel to hop, stomp and squish as many grapes as possible.
A Black & Ginger 2021 Grenache Nouveau – On Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May, winemakers Black & Ginger will showcase their take on the famed Beaujolais Nouveau wines made in France. The fresh and fruity red will be available to try, as well as a masterclass by Haydn Black and Grampians Estate’s Tom Guthrie, to talk all things grenache.

Barrique Wine – Take home a rare taste of the Grampians in this bid for bottles of Barrique wine. Sample the 2020 vintage at the Barrique bar on Saturday at 1:30 before it goes under the hammer at 2:15.

Five Ducks Farm Produce – Stock up on your favourite Grampians flavours with a visit to Five Ducks Farm where you can taste the wide range of homegrown and homemade preserves on offer.

Grampians Edge Caravan Park – A lovely and relaxed bush setting only 30 minutes from the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park. Pitch a tent at one of the powered or unpowered sites, or stay indoors at one of the well-appointed cabins.
Grampians Old Man Emu Stay – Experience the peaceful setting of 100 open acres at Grampians Old Man Emu Stay. The site only caters to self-sufficient campers who have their own portable toilet and their own access to power, water supply and showers (these are not available onsite). Wake up in the morning to grazing kangaroos and emus, before making the short drive into Halls Gap for the Grape Escape activities.
