Great Western is commonly known as the wine and food village of the Grampians. This charming town was first settled in the 1840s by sheep graziers, it then rapidly developed through the discovery of gold and then the planting of grapevines. Today Great Western boasts a crop of pioneering wineries, earning it a reputation for producing some of Australia's finest wine.
