Great Western is commonly known as the wine and food village of the Grampians. This charming town was first settled in the 1840s by sheep graziers, it then rapidly developed through the discovery of gold and then the planting of grapevines. Today Great Western boasts a crop of pioneering wineries, earning it a reputation for producing some of Australia's finest wine.

Seppelt Winery

A visit to the Grampians is not complete without a trip to the region’s original winemaking pioneers at Seppelt Wines. Enjoy a tasting at the historic cellar door while you learn about its history. Take a step back in time with a tour of the underground heritage-listed cellars, The Drives – first excavated in 1868 and the longest in the southern hemisphere.
