Lake Bellfield provides you with a grand vista of the northern Grampians mountain range. It is the perfect spot to relax under shady trees and have a dip in the lakes calm waters. The lake offers sandy beaches for swimmers and easy access into the water. The lake is the local host spot for keen fishers, kayakers and canoers.
Lake Fyans was recently voted the best swimming destination in the Grampians, check it out for yourself and enjoy a day at the lakes sandy beach where the water is safe for all ages. Try boating, fishing and canoeing on the lake, or just splash around and chill out.
Lake Wartook is only half an hour from Halls Gap, it is a peaceful and rather secluded lake that is great for fishing, kayaking and picnicking. A great location to drop the line and catch a couple of Brown Trout and redfin. Fishing off the wall section of the lake is permitted providing comfortable bank fishing.
Lake Lonsdale is the perfect spot to, relax under shady trees and have a dip in the lakes calm waters. The lake offers sandy beaches for swimmers and easy access into the water from the boat ramp for keen fishers and water sporting enthusiast. If you wish to stay a while the lake offers camp sites overlooking the lake, white sandy beaches, native flora, plentiful bird life and views across the water to the Grampians.
The Moora Moora Reservoir is the perfect place for an adventurous day trip with friends to this beautiful site just beside the Grampians National Park. A unique and serene location to go canoeing, picnicking, fishing and bird watching, or just sit back and enjoy the view over the surrounding mountains.
Lake Bolac around 6-7 feet deep when full and is a popular boating, fishing and sailing area. Lake Bolac is a traditional gathering place for indigenous people. Each year in Autumn the Lake Bolac Eel festival celebrates its indigenous culture with aboriginal ceremonies, live music, art exhibitions, markets and more.
Green Hill Lake is situated 2.5 kilometres east of Ararat, it is a popular camping stop for travelers with picturesque mountain ranges providing the perfect backdrop. The lake offers a range of water activities such as swimming, boating, kayaking, water skiing, knee boarding and wake boarding (just to name a few)! The facilities around the lake make it a great place to set up camp with the family. There are even hot showers to keep you feeling refreshed during your stay. The lake is well-stocked with trout for those looking to catch a feed of fish for dinner, be it from the jetty, a boat or the shoreline.
Lake Hamilton is located at the eastern end of Hamilton and is surrounded by 25 hectares of parkland. The lake provides two sandy beaches, BBQ and picnic facilities, a boat ramp, as well as a walking and cycling track that circles the entire lake. A great place for kids to play and enjoy the parks playground and beaches.
