Get into some Christmas cheer with Carols by Candlelight and Christmas markets all around the Grampians region!

Ararat Carols by Candlelight - 8 December, 2018

Join Ararat Rural City and celebrate the 25th annual Carols by Candlelight in the Alexandra Gardens.

Carols by Candlelight is a free event for all Rural City of Ararat and surrounding communities. Local entertainment will include the Ararat Sing Australia Choir, Ararat City Band, Ararat 800 Primary School Choir, Hospital Singers, the Ararat Dance Company along with a number of local performers.

Other free activities include as face painting and balloon animals, a perfect way to entertain the kids.

A highlight of the evening is the firework display, which will conclude the event.

Natimuk Farmers Market Plus Christmas Market - 9 December, 2018

Natimuk is nestled at the base of Mt Arapiles and Mitre Rock, a peoples Market comprising of three distinct sections, the Natimuk Farmers Market Plus has something for everyone.

Showcasing local and regional produce, quality local art and craft, sausage sizzle, crepes, coffee and live music, organic vegetables, jams and more.

Be sure to also stop by the Arapiles Historical Society Trash and Treasure and Boot Sale - opposite the market.

Hamilton Carols by Candlelight - 14 December, 2018

A community and family event hosted by the churches of Hamilton to celebrate the meaning of Christmas, held at the Rotunda in the Botanical Gardens.

Childrens' games, craft activities and entertainment commence from 6:00pm with music and Carols from 8:00pm. Glow sticks for sale - proceeds and donations go to the Hamilton Spectator Christmas Hamper Appeal. Hot food and drinks are available from the Rotary food stand from 6:00pm.

Why not do some Christmas shopping while your there at the Hamilton Makers Market is a one stop pop-up shop of local, handmade goods, open only during December in Hamilton.

All products have been carefully made with love, by local makers and creators and is a great opportunity to grab a locally-made gift.

Christmas Carols in the Country - 16 December, 2018

Enjoy an evening of Christmas Carols at the Uniting Church in Pimpinio near Horsham, featuring an array of special guests and performances. Bring a picnic and enjoy a night of Carols in the Country!

Christmas activities for all in Stawell

In the midst of seven-foot tall Christmas trees lining Main Street, Stawell is set to have a range of activities on offer in the lead up to Christmas and there will be something for everyone!

The Lions Club Christmas Lights Competition will be running once again with community members and businesses encouraged to decorate their house or business - perfect for a balmy evening wander.

On Saturday, 8 December families can make a night of it at ‘A Very Rotary Christmas Movie Night’, featuring a screening of The Santa Clause from 7pm at Stawell Entertainment Centre for a very affordable gold coin entry!

On the 14th of December The Stawell Community Christmas Carols is being held at Cato Park at 7pm, preceded by the annual Main Street Christmas Parade at 6.30pm.
