Wet a line for flathead, salmon, tailor, whiting and trevally at Andersons Inlet and Venus Bay - great for families and surf anglers.

Shallow Inlet Coastal Park

Shallow Inlet and Waratah Bay

Catch flathead, salmon and whiting at Waratah Bay and Shallow Inlet - a boat is recommended for more effective fishing. Snapper can be caught in the area, usually near the inlet entrance.

Go fishing for whiting, flathead and salmon within the estuaries and from beaches around the promontory. Angling restrictions are in place for some or all forms of fishing.

Western Port

Launch your boat from Corinella for fishing in the Western Port region. The most common fish caught in the bay are flathead, whiting, snapper, silver bay trout, trevally, gummy sharks and mullet.

Kilcunda Beach - Phillip Island

Try surf fishing at Kilcunda, Harmers' Haven and Wreck Beach - great for salmon, trout and yellow-eyed mullet. Just south of Kilcunda is Powlett River, known for its high quality bream.

Visit Flat Rocks near Inverloch - a favourite fishing spot for locals with plenty of whiting. Nearby Undertow Bay is great for mullet and salmon.

EAST GIPPSLAND

Join the recreational anglers and go fishing for black bream. Particularly well regarded areas include Hollands Landing, Paynesville and Lake King.
